Summary

Chapter 468 of the General Acts of 1911 brought the position of Chief of Police of the Somerville Police Department under the provision of the Civil Service Law. The question before the voters is whether or not this practice should be continued. If adopted, the revocation would not apply to a present permanent incumbent in the position.
