Summary

Chapter 91 of the General Acts of 1933 brought the position of Chief Engineer of the Somerville Fire Department (Fire Chief) under the provisions of the Civil Service Law. The Question before the voters is whether or not this practice should be continued. If adopted, the revocation would not apply to a present permanent incumbent in the position.
