1952 Nov 4 :: City of Somerville :: Question 2 :: Local MeasureShall an ordinance which reads as follows: An Ordinance Relative to Salaries of Members of the Board of Aldermen, City of Somerville, Be it Ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the city of Somerville, as follows: Section 1. As authorized by Chapter 259, Acts of the Legislature 1952, the salaries of the members of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Somerville, to be effective beginning January 1, 1953, is hereby established at the rate of ($1500) Fifteen Hundred per year. Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective as prescribed in the City Charter of the City of Somerville and upon the approval of the majority of the registered voters of the City, voting thereon at the next state election, - be accepted?
