Summary

Although the City Charter has been amended since 1899, there has not been a substantial revision of the Charter since this date and this non-binding advisory question placed on the ballot by the Board of Aldermen and the Mayor seeks to obtain a sense o the people about whether a committee should or should not be established to begin a revision of the city's charter.
